Do I need an instrument to take lessons?
The real productivity of learning music happens between lessons when the student is practicing. Having access to an instrument to practice on is essential if you want to see tangible results. The short answer is yes.
Can you come to my house to teach me/my children?
The short answer is no. The studio provides us with all the equipment and tools we need to teach effectively and efficiently.
Am I too old to learn?
The short answer is no. Older students may have to exert more effort than their younger counterparts, but they can certainly see results if they possess determination and discipline.
Is reading sheet music necessary?
Even someone who "plays by ear" should be able to read music at least on a rudimentary level. Having the ability to read music makes communicating musical concepts much easier. Being able to read music is not a prerequisite for taking lessons, but it will be incorporated into your lessons incrementally to develop this skill.
