We have the philosophy that music is easier to understand when it is approached holistically. How does playing the bass relate to playing the piano or playing the guitar? How can I "hear" what I am about to play before I play it? How do I learn a song on the spot upon a first listen? We have both the theory and practical knowhow from over 10 years of professional experience as working musicians to answer these questions and many more.

Our goal is to give you the tools to become your own musical teacher. Everyone is different and everyone has their own specific motivations that drive them to improve. We take whatever music our students are interested in, and we use it to demonstrate the theory behind the music so they can start to pick up on the reoccurring patterns of music and take their musical journey into their own hands.

We have been going to Jon for music lessons for about 3 years now. My boys are 9 and 13 and I attend vocal lessons as well.
